My friend has a 7.5 month old daughter who has had a diaper candida rash-like for 2 months now. She is not sure if it is yeast-caused, because she can keep the yeast under control with topical nystatin, but the redness stays and gets worse when she poops. I have taken her to a pediatric allergist and she does not think its allergy related, and we did some allergy testing and it was all negative. Anyway, she also had a very mild case of thrush that went away easily with gentian violet, and also what she thinks is a vaginal yeast infection. But, she thinks the thrush may be back (her nipples are a little red) and she is having a little bit of vaginal itching as well. And the diaper rash is still there.
She has tried giving probiotics, but she is still refused taking solids yet and it is really hard to get it down her. She has tried all kinds of over the counter and even diflucan for a week on her. She is not sure if yeast is really the problem or just grows on her because of all of the irritation on her bottom. She has taken her to 2 pediatricians, and the allergist, as well as 2 family practice, which they all just say some kids skin are more sensitive and she will outgrow it. She just doesn't believe it and doesn't know what to do now.
It is true and I have to agree with the doctors told her that baby's skins are sometimes too sensitive. As a suggestion from me is that you really need to try spraying the colloidal silver along with MSM on the skin. I don't know if it works for you, but it is absolutely worth a try as I often did that.
